What We Do
Upcoming Meetings
2022-2023 Budget - Approved
The attendees at the August 29 meeting voted to APPROVE the 2022-2023 budget.
We have lofty goals this year, including a monthly budget for clinicians to come offer semi-private lessons during Flex hours for any interested student, preparing for expenses that the boosters may be required to cover for transporting guard and band equipment and uniforms beyond what the District covers, food for the competitions (Cameron and Lee's Summit North Invitational), etc.
Who we are
The Band Booster organization is comprised of the band directors, the executive council, and parent volunteers.
The executive council is comprised of elected officers who regularly meet with the band directors and Eagle Club to plan the budget, calendar, fundraising events, communication, and band booster meetings. The officers are parent volunteers who are not compensated for their service.
Parent volunteers are critical to the success of the booster program. Volunteers may attend Band Booster meetings and provide input and/or vote on future plans, such as fundraising opportunities. They may also volunteer to staff or organize certain events and activities, such as the Screaming Eagles "Pit Crew" and Jazz and Java.
Membership in the band boosters is open to any parent of a band student.
